§ 6-135. License prior to release.

  • No animal for which a license is required, shall be released without proof of obtaining such. Should the owner or custodian of the animal require the release of the animal to have the animal vaccinated to obtain the required license, the ordinance warden may require a bond of not more than $100.00 to secure compliance with the licensing provisions of the chapter. If the animal is released to the owner so that a license may be obtained, the owner or individual to whom the animal is released shall have 30 days from the date of release to obtain such license and submit proof to the ordinance warden.
